Storage Area Networks - SANs

Dot Hill offers fibre channel and iSCSI data storage arrays that are easily implemented to create your own high–speed SAN, allowing applications to access all disks. Our SAN storage solutions provide high–speed and high capacity platforms for a wide variety of commercial applications such as email servers, databases and file servers. In addition, our rugged, NEBS and MIL SPEC certified and compliant storage arrays are used extensively for mobile computing, military intelligence gathering, and surveillance inside and outside the datacenter.

Direct Attached Storage - DAS

Dot Hill offers data storage arrays that are easily implemented in a direct-attached storage environment to either a server or workstation. If this is your preferred configuration, look no further than the 2522 and 2530, our SAS (serial-attached SCSI) storage arrays which will allow customers to easily and quickly add additional external RAID protected storage while keeping high data bandwidth and access rates. Our systems offer redundant, hot swappable components to ensure maximum data protection.

JBOD Expansion Units

Dot Hill offers storage expansion arrays that once attached to one of our fibre channel, iSCSI or SAS storage arrays can create much larger overall storage SANs, controlled by a single RAID controller on the primary storage array. Our storage expansion arrays support both 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch disk technology and feature hotswappable, redundant fans and power to make them easy to maintain. By utilizing a JBOD expansion array, customers can extend their SAN cost effectively – because these arrays do not include a RAID controller unit, they cost less than a full RAID storage array.
