Blu-ray features two different media types. A BD-R WORM disc offers write once storage media which is mandatory by a lot of compliance regulations like SEC, GDPdU, Hipaa and more. A media life of more than 50 years and the write once security feature make the BD-R WORM technology suitable for all kinds of Fixed Content solutions.

The BD-RE Rewritable disc offers the possibility to rewrite your discs more than 10,000 times. With a storage capacity similar to the BD-R WORM disc of 50GB (single sided) and the high transfer speed of 9 MB/s it is a suitable solution for HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management), DLM (Data Lifecycle Management), Backup or any kind of nearline secondary storage application.

The "Armour Plated" coating which is specially designed for high capacity blue laser discs protects the Blu-ray media against dust, scratches and any other physical effects.

The JVC MC-BLX series is designed for the seamless integration into your existing information technology infrastructure. A wide modular product range of 50 up to 600 slot libraries offers users storage capacities from 2.5TB upto 30TB. The system's high speed access mechanism minimises wait time, while the flexible drive configuration handles multiple read/write requests simultaneously to provide an optimal high-speed storage environment suitable for a wide range of implementations. The industrial design of the JVC MC-BLX series ensures durability and lifelong data protection. The unique dustproof housing in combination with the internal air filter mechanism underlines the technological leadership of JVC in the optical storage device market.
